There are only a couple of reasons you may want to visit this barrio of Madrid.
The Museo de América holds an impressive collection of artifacts, ceramics and
silverware from Latin America when Spain had colonies throughout South and
Central America.
You may also want to take a tour of the Spanish prime ministerial home
or to see the Ministry of Defense or the Arco de la Victoria, but we would only
recommend these items if you have a lot of time to see Madrid. High school
students interested in studying in Spain should make a trip to see the campuses
of the Ciudad Universitaria.
Parque del Oeste is only worth visiting if you are in the Moncloa bario for
other sights. Regardless of how much time you have to see Madrid, skip
visiting the Mirador del Faro. This nearly 100 meter high tower from the
Jetsons is poorly maintained with dirty windows. There are many other ways
to see Madrid from above -- this is not worth your time or money.
